Cooking Class - Asian Dumpling Delights

Learn how to make exquisite dumplings from various Asian countries, exploring unique flavors and textures.

During this hands-on cooking class, Chef JR will introduce you to the delicious world of Asian dumplings that showcase the rich flavors of the continent.

Start by making savory chicken and scallion wontons placed in a fragrant ginger broth, and fill wrappers with pork, green cabbage and more to pan-sear for gyoza dumplings. Then, you'll fill dumpling wrappers with shrimp, garlic and water chestnuts for decadent steamed shumai, and create the bold flavors of fried Korean mandu dumplings filled with beef, garlic and kimchi.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef taught us how to make a pineapple cashew fried rice with curried chicken and talked us through how important it is to have everything prepped in Asian cooking especially when cooking in a wok. He even laid out a chart showing which order things can go in, and he explained everything about the order while teaching the dish.
