Cooking Class - Sous Vide Wagyu

What You’ll Do

The familar steakhouse menu gets an upgrade in this class featuring sous vide cookery.

Chef Gaven presents a steakhouse-style menu with his own nuanced approach to preparation.
For starters, you'll make a classic caesar salad including romaine lettuce, briny anchovies, shaved parmesan, and brioche crouton. You'll also get a crash-course in sous vide, a slow-cooking technique that creates an exceptionally tender Wagyu steak served with a red wine reduction and perfectly-roasted potatoes and a bright, flavorful salad of heirloom tomatoes. For dessert, you will make a toothsome blueberry-almond corn cake complemented with creamy frangelico ice cream.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Gavin gives a true taste of Idaho with his menu – from the elk to the huckleberries, morels to the nod to the Basque culture with the chorizo salad. The ingredients were super-premium and fresh. So fresh, in fact, that same came from the garden right on the alley. How cool is that? Whether new to Boise, or a true local, this class is sure to please!
