Learn how to make grilled cheese and two other classic comfort dishes with Chef Peter.
In this hands-on cooking class with Chef Peter, you will learn how to make everyone's favorite comfort food: traditional American grilled cheese. But rather than a straightforward combination of bread and cheese, this variation will be made with a twist.
Enhance the classic sandwich with three types of cheeses, bacon, roasted onions, tomato chutney and greens. You will also prepare the perfect accompaniment to grilled cheese — tomato basil soup. Finally, Chef Peter will show you how to make a decadent cookies and cream pie to round out your meal.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Our experience was amazing, so much that words cannot fully describe - PLEASE GO DO THIS FOR YOURSELF, you will not be disappointed! Chef Pete makes you feel so comfortable and welcome in his classroom (kitchen) you’ll leave wanting to immediately sign up for another class! And so worth every dollar spent!

Chef Peter is one of the most approachable chefs I've ever met. You can tell he truly loves cooking and wants to help set up others for success. What I loved most is he didn't just tell us what to do, but why we were doing it. Everything from why you'd put a little salt in your salad greens to pro tips for making the perfect roasted chicken; basics for making vinaigrettes at home to how beef is graded and what to look for. It was all his little touches that really elevated the basics we made. I definitely came away from the class a better cook!
Meet your chef
Armed with a culinary arts degree from the California Culinary Academy and more than two decades of professional culinary experience, Chef Peter has successfully been involved in the launch of eight restaurants, and won many awards along the way. But his favorite aspect of being a chef: teaching. Chef Peter is passionate about mentoring others in the kitchen, and has taught for many nonprofits, including those empowering refugees and at-risk youth.
