Join sushi extraordinaire Chef Zach for an incredible intermediate sushi and sauce-making culinary experience.

In this hands-on class with Chef Zach, you will journey beyond the basics of sushi-making for a more in-depth look at how to prepare an impressive spread of sushi in your own kitchen.

Chef Zach will demonstrate a variety of intermediate sushi-making techniques in this class, including a demonstration on how to properly breakdown a whole fish and how to prepare sushi rice using authentic ingredients and tools. You can also look forward to making nigiri, inside out rolls topped with fresh seasonal fish, and making ponzu sauce from scratch.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Zach was an absolute pleasure to have in my house. We booked his surf and turf experience and WOW! it was incredible. Each course was better than the last. His sushi expertise shined bright on the first two courses. Also, his steak entrée competes with some of the best steak dishes I've ever had. Chef Zach is very approachable, professional, and extremely proficient at his craft. I highly recommend booking a private chef experience. Oh and best of all? No dishes to clean up! My wife and I are already checking our calendar to see when we might be able to have him back. Thanks, Chef Zach!

Chef Zach also started his own catering company, which quickly gained popularity after catering parties for the Sundance Film Festival’s many events. Now, Chef Zach is back in San Diego, and the chef and owner of a successful sushi, poke, and fish taco restaurant.
