Cooking Class - Next Level Sushi Skills


Join sushi extraordinaire Chef Zach for an impressively advanced and completely unforgettable sushi-making experience.
In this hands-on class with Chef Zach, you will learn a variety of authentic and advanced Japanese sushi-making techniques that artfully blend modernity with the time-honored traditions of sushi making.
Chef Zach will begin by teaching on fish selection, safe handling, and the knife skills to break down a whole fish. You can also look forward to getting creative with fun and tasty garnishes for your uramaki inside out rolls, nigiri, and sashimi platters, as well as learning how to prepare a creamy green tea crème brûlée for dessert.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Zach is amazing to work with. He is very friendly and down to earth. He is a master at preparing sushi. It was all so delicious, to say the very least. His rolls are very fresh with unique combinations, I can not wait to go back for more!! Amazing sushi Chef Zach!!

Chef Zach was an absolute pleasure to have in my house. We booked his surf and turf experience and WOW! it was incredible. Each course was better than the last. His sushi expertise shined bright on the first two courses. Also, his steak entrée competes with some of the best steak dishes I've ever had. Chef Zach is very approachable, professional, and extremely proficient at his craft. I highly recommend booking a private chef experience. Oh and best of all? No dishes to clean up! My wife and I are already checking our calendar to see when we might be able to have him back. Thanks, Chef Zach!
Meet your chef
After graduating from the Art Institute of California with a degree in culinary arts, Chef Zach relocated to Park City, Utah where he found his niche as a sushi chef. Chef Zach also started his own catering company, which quickly gained popularity after catering parties for the Sundance Film Festival’s many events. Now, Chef Zach is back in San Diego, and the chef and owner of a successful sushi, poke, and fish taco restaurant.
