During this live and interactive online class with Chef Gustavo, you will learn how to make a classic New York cheesecake from scratch. Chef Gustavo will begin by teaching you how to make a buttery graham cracker crust. Then, you will learn how to prepare a foolproof filling that will transform into a supremely smooth and velvety cheesecake. While your cheesecake bakes, you will also learn how to make a mango glaze!

I don't even know where to start, because Chef Gustavo went above and beyond customer service from start to finish to make my friends bachelorette party an unforgettable experience. Gustavo was prompt to answer all my questions prior to the event. He accommodated many food allergies without any complications, and recommended the perfect wine for the dinner. His passion for cooking is contagious. We learned not only about tips and tricks to make a perfect 3 course meal that is not only delicious but also pleasing to the eye, but also how to prepare food from fresh, organic food with minimal waste. Gustavo also shared the history of where Paella comes from. w We loved every minute of the day. It was 9 of us and our ages were between 30 - 65 years old. Chef Gustavo was excellent! I loved the history he gives behind every dish. He cooks with fresh produce and all of his dishes were easy and delicious! I especially loved his Octopus! Never have I had it so tender and crispy. Can’t wait to try another one of his classes.

We absolutely loved our class with Chef Gustavo. He was warm, friendly, passionate, and so knowledgeable. He did a great job making accommodations for dietary needs of our diverse corporate group, and he also accounted for the beginner and more advanced cooking skills across our team members. We strongly recommend booking with Chef Gustavo, and hope to return soon. We had an indoor experience and outdoor frying paella in the chef's private garden. One note is that some team members were confused by the location because a nearby property was vacant/under construction, but once we saw his lovely sign "Chef Gustavo" we knew we were in the right place.

Latin American cuisine is what Chef Gustavo is all about. As the owner and executive chef of Rumba Cafe in Adams Morgan for 20 years, he understands this cuisine more than anything else. His inspiration comes from his own travels through Latin America, the Caribbean, France, Spain, and more. He studied at L’Academie de Cuisine, and is fluent in French fare, as well. He is available to teach classes in both English and Spanish.
