Online Cooking Class - Classic Chinese Soup Dumplings

Skip takeout and make savory Chinese soup dumplings from scratch in your own kitchen.

Classic soup dumplings are a popular dim sum dish in China and around the world, and in this online cooking class with Chef Li, you'll learn how to make them at home. After mixing your homemade dumpling dough, you'll fill them with ground pork and spices, then apply 20 to 24 pleats in each tiny dumpling. A feast awaits you once the dumplings are cooked, with a traditional smashed cucumber salad on the side.

Chef Li did a great job taking us through creation of this recipe! She is patient, easy to follow, took questions as they were raised without interrupting the flow of the class, and was quite informative regarding much of the culture and practices behind this dish. It was great fun and I will continue practicing my dough pleating skills- I need to practice a lot,HOWEVER, the recipe was delicous!

The webinar ran very long. I feel that more prep work before starting would have helped. The recipes were delicious.
