Heather Comeault

Heather Comeault is a freelance writer and content creator based in British Columbia, Canada. A 2018 honors graduate of SAIT Polytechnic with a specialization in TV/Video Production, she began her career as a producer and director, crafting broadcast-quality video content and scripting for visual storytelling.
Her training laid the foundation for a strong narrative voice, which she has since translated into the written word. Since pivoting to freelance writing, Heather has contributed to a range of well-known digital publications with a focus on travel, tourism, lifestyle and culinary culture.
She has lived and traveled throughout Canada, and her work often reflects a deep appreciation for the landscapes, communities and heritage of the places she explores.
Heather's recent work includes a major collaboration with the City of Dawson Creek, where she authored over 30 pages of original content for their 2025 Visitor and Relocation Guide. She also runs her own website, Deepinthewoods.ca, where she shares her passion for uncovering hidden histories, local legends and off-the-beaten-path adventures.
