Cooking Class - Popular Southern Soul Food

Chef Tay treats you to a culinary journey through the popular Southern soul food staples.

In this hands-on class with Chef Tay, you will learn how to prepare some of the most popular Southern soul food dishes. Chef Tay will also provide a brief history of the soul food you will be creating while utilizing locally sourced ingredients.

A few of the recipes you can look forward to creating include a juicy and crispy Cajun fried shrimp appetizer, fluffy and crunchy hush puppies, and an unbelievably good peach cobbler with a fresh peach filling and traditional Southern-style buttery crust for an unforgettable comfort food dessert.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Tay was great. She explained to us step by step how everything should be done. Food was amazing, super tasty. It was great to have her come to our home since she showed us how to use our own kitchenware to cook all the food. I really recommend this class.

Since I have known this woman, she has been cooking! I am happy to see her share it with the world! The Mac & Cheese is the cheesiest, The Fried Chicken is the crispiest and if you name any seafood dish, she can execute it with TLC and finesse! The way her soul speaks through her dishes, it is riveting! I would book her for any event and be confident that my guests will not only have a satisfied palette, but also be met with incomparable service and professionalism!
