Join Chef Michael in crafting the most important meal of the day — French style.
In this hands on class, Chef Michael will go over some basic French techniques and recipes necessary to whip up a breakfast of champions.
Learn how to make choux from scratch for the savory gougères as well as the process of making pastry for a traditional French quiche. You will also dive into making béchemel, one of the five mother sauces, for the pinnacle of French breakfast street food: the Croque Madame. Plus, you will leave with recipes and culinary skills that can be used at any time of day.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

I had a great time at Chef's Michael cooking class. He’s very talented and his food is super delicious. If you’re a meat lover, then his Sausage making class is a must try for you! You’ll have a lot of fun and will definitely learn some cool new techniques.
Meet your chef
Along with accolades from The New York Times and The SF Chronicle, Chef Michael brings over 20 years of culinary experience to the table in his revelatory cooking classes. Chef Michael’s resume includes a number of local destinations such as Bacar, Waterbar, Eccolo, and Sous Buerre. His fine arts degree from the University of Minnesota has no doubt helped him in finding immeasurable success while turning everything from pop-up companies to creative recipes into masterpieces.
