Who says French cuisine has to be difficult to prepare? Chef John will provide you with essential tips and tricks in preparing authentic French dishes. You will go home with a new found love and respect for French foods, as the skills you will learn can easily be translated to your own kitchen.
Learn how to wrap brie in a puff pastry, top it will sliced almonds, bake until the cheese oozes to perfection, then serve with baguette slices. Chef John will then give you the skills needed to make curly endive with bacon, tossed in a warm Dijon vinaigrette. Your main course will consist of succulent white fish made and served restaurant style. Allow Chef John to show you just how to prepare this dish by properly cutting the parchment, seasoning to perfection, sealing and then roasting the fish, so that it comes out bursting with flavor. Sides of scalloped potatoes and ratatouille will up your cooking repertoire. Try your hand at Mocha Pots de Creme, and be in awe at how delectable this rich dessert can be. Bon Appétit.
