Teens Cooking Series

Treat your teen to five days of focused kitchen learning in this cooking series.
Designed for ages 12 and up, this hands-on cooking series in Austin gives teens five focused days to master the core techniques behind great cooking. Guided by Chef Karen or a professional chef instructor, students will work on mother sauces, emulsions, knife skills, searing, dumpling shaping and advanced baking and decorating. From eggs Benedict with hollandaise to hand-shaped dumplings and decorated cakes, this cooking series in Austin helps teens build confidence, precision and control in the kitchen.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Meet your chef
After pursuing culinary school and retiring from teaching, Chef Karen became a chef instructor in 2019. Promoted to Culinary Lead in 2020, she continued to excel, recently stepping into the role of Resident Chef. Working as a Chef Instructor has rekindled her passion for food and sharing culinary knowledge with every guest she meets.
