What You’ll Do

Create a stunning spread of Mexican dishes as you work together as a group.

In this team building cooking class, you'll make a Mexican feast that's bursting with authentic flavors. Chef Tera will guide your group through transforming fresh ingredients into iconic dishes.

First, you'll work together to make creamy guacamole and zesty pico de gallo to serve with freshly made chips. Then, select from citrusy salmon, herby shrimp or earthy portobello enchiladas as your entrée. You'll make a delightful side of fluffy Spanish rice and colorful corn salsa as your side. For dessert, cook up traditional sopapillas with syrupy honey.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

The chef rushed through a 2.5 hour class so it was only 1.5 hours. She did not have the shrimp which was why we booked the Surf and Turf class. She used a box mix to make the crab cakes and spice mixtures and prepackaged/measured ingredients and never really told us how much was in them or sent us any recipes. She told us to cook on very high heat a one inch extremely lean steak (that she said was NY strip, but did not seem like it) for 4-5 minutes per sided so it was incredibly dry and tough. When it was all gray inside she told us we did not have the heat high enough. She did not stay to finish the desert and brought a prepackaged fruit cup that had browning and smushed berries in it. She was nice, but incredibly unprofessional. She said she would send us a coupon for not having the shrimp and never did. We would like a refund.

Tera was delightful. She was well prepared, made the class easy and fun, and was very personable. The recipes were great. Would definitely recommend Chef Tera to others.
