Perfect your sushi-making skills with Chef Motoko.

Surprise your dinner guests with a colorful selection of sushi. Chef Motoko’s recipes are based around the Japanese philosophy of soshoku, or frugal meal. Traditionally made up of a soup, a side dish and rice, this style of eating has become the norm in most Japanese households due to its health benefits.

Discover the techniques to two different kinds of sushi, a basic sushi roll and an eye-catching rope sushi. Chef Motoko will guide you through sushi basics including rice seasoning, fish cutting, rolling, and slicing. Create a complete Japanese dinner by learning the recipes to a homemade miso soup and marinated vegetables.

It was really easy to communicate and coordinate with Chef Motoko-- my parents had such a lovely time cooking with her. This what they had to say: "Chef Motoko is so nice. We had such fun working with her. What a great gift. Good fun and educational." Thanks so much Chef Motoko!
