Demystify the process of creating a true Japanese classic!
Sushi has its origins in Japan in the 8th century and is a food that has not only endured, but increased in popularity, spawning an incredible number of varieties. In this unique sushi making class, Chef Eric invites you to experience the joy of preparing a flavorful and diverse range of delectable sushi dishes along with a mouthwatering number of sides.
Your class begins with preparing succulent sushi rice, followed by a savory variety of sushi rolls including nutritious vegetable and spicy varieties. Next, delve into a tantalizing variety of fish on top of rice, known as nigiri. Continue your experience with enticing sides including refreshing pickled cucumbers and ginger, appetizing teriyaki and sanbaizu sauce, and satisfying dashi and ginger dipping sauce. Your class concludes with zesty sushi oranges.
Please note that the eating portion of this class will be towards the end of the class.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Meet your chef
A native of Los Angeles, Chef Eric graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park. He has staged with Chef Jose Munisa at Via Veneto, Barcelona’s longest-running 5-star restaurant and Chef Joseph Russwürm at Munich’s Hotel Kempinski. While trained in the culinary classics, Chef Eric enjoys teaching a broad range of cuisines in his classes while integrating the importance of technique with his students.
