Macarons have been enjoying a renaissance of sorts and are offered at a variety of eateries around the world, most notably in France. Known for their melt-in-your-mouth goodness and range of flavorful possibilities, these dainty treats are sure to please your sweet tooth. As a patissier with a genuine appreciation for the craft, Chef Kim relishes sharing her insights with students in a nurturing and social atmosphere where you can learn new baking skills while indulging in these ambrosial pastries.
In this class, you will have the opportunity to learn to prepare a wide variety of macaron flavors that may include glorious vanilla bean, elegant Earl Grey, tempting cinnamon, devilishly good pistachio, and decadent chocolate.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

I booked The Magic of Macarons class with Chef Kim as a gift from my friend. The experience was even better than we expected. We had an absolute blast learning from Chef Kim and would highly recommend her to anyone!

Chef Kim was amazing! Such a treat to host in my home and very knowledgable about the art of baking macarons. The full experience was brought to us - all bakeware, ingredients, as well as tips and tricks we would not have learned on our own. She taught us 3 different baking styles and multiple flavors to indulge in. Baking macarons has been a steep learning curve and we are so grateful to learn from an expert! I highly recommend Chef Kim.
Chef Kim is a classically trained pastry chef and enthusiastic about teaching and entertaining children interested in spending time in the kitchen. She currently teaches pastry fundamentals and advanced pastry education courses in San Diego, and loves passing her passion for pastry onto the next generation.
