Cooking Class - Make Your Own Kimchi

Discover how to make and use tangy and nutritious fermented kimchi from a top chef.

Great for your health and addictively delicious, kimchi is a key condiment in Korean cuisine that has become a cult favorite in the states. Chef Stacey, an expert in food and nutrition, will teach you the tricks to making restaurant-quality kimchi and provide an informative lecture covering everything you need to know about this versatile condiment.

In this class, you’ll learn the benefits of kimchi as well as Stacey’s fail proof method to create it with your new counter top fermentation device. Next, you’ll put it to use in a breakfast-ready kimchi frittata with creamy avocado and crunchy sprouts. Students leave the class with a one-quart jar of kimchi to take home as well as some new equipment to aid in future kimchi making.

I’m Stacey and I suffer from what some might see as an unhealthy obsession with healthy food and a healthy planet. I work as a therapeutic chef and teach cooking classes throughout the Bay Area. Since I am by nature a giver, my ultimate goal is to help others cultivate similar obsessions, which I do by sharing my love of cooking, whole food nutrition, digestive health, and mindful eating practices with students and clients.
