Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Teens: Cultural Baking

What You’ll Do

A week of fun and interactive sessions on global baking techniques.

If you're looking for a way to foster a love of cooking in your teen, this cooking series is a great place to start. Summer cooking classes are led by chef instructors who know how to keep teens entertained and engaged. Designed for ages 12 and older, classes feature essential food prep skills, kitchen safety practices and a variety of cooking and baking techniques. They'll get to put their creative skills to the test by preparing a meal from scratch.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

I did the holiday baking class. I feel like cozy meal misrepresented this experience. There was no chef Michael. It was team work and not at all appropriate for a single person. Basically no cooking took place just a lot of melting different things. That you took turns in your group assembling. I would have liked to know ahead of time that it was a group activity and not an individual cooking experience. Would definitely not do this again or recommend. The people that hosted were great. But not what o had in mind when I signed up.

We had a great time learning to make gnocchi, steak, and panna cotta in our Tuscany cooking class. I loved learning about the Chef's experience training in Japan and love of asian fusion food. I liked that the class was hands on with plenty of demonstration as well. Thanks!

We cooked Tuscan garlic shrimp and cannoli from scratch. The chef's were great, everybody had fun, and the food turned out awesome.
