Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Kids: Bakeshop Basics

What You’ll Do

With five days of baking fun, aspiring cooks learn essential kitchen skills and classic recipes

In this hands-on cooking series designed for ages 7-11, young chefs will build confidence in the kitchen while expressing their creativity through baking. Across five days of fun and engaging summer cooking classes, kids will work together to flip crêpes, knead dough, decorate a cake and so much more! They will learn fundamental baking techniques while practicing basic food prep skills and kitchen safety guidelines. At the end of the series, each student will receive a printed menu and graduation certificate to celebrate their culinary achievement.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

Fun experience, the chef was full of positive energy and informative. We learned a lot about the cooking process.

Chef STEPHANIE was great, a few things that would have enhanced the experience. In my opinion, the food was too little to be satisfying for a dinner. You should’ve had either bread on the table or some form of salad to start the meal. By the time we ate the scallops, they were cold, And it just wasn’t enough to be a full dinner. I learned some great Tactics and overall was a very good experience, a few tweaks could make it even better. Thanks!

The Chef was lovely, and the pastries turned out great. I only wish everyone at the table had their dough to work with instead of sharing, and it was awkward at times. There was an individual who was baking most of the time and not allowing others to have an opportunity. I think the class is overpriced if you have to share and are not baking or cooking. That is my honest review.
