Learn a distinctly South American take on creating a flame-cooked meal with all the trimmings.

Take a lesson in the art of Argentine grilling in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Gustavo. Create an authentic parrillada, a fire-cooked spread for meat lovers, while learning the finer points of open-flame cooking and gathering a world of knowledge about the culinary traditions of Argentina.

Begin with a tangy chimichurri and a zesty salsa criolla, both made from scratch using the freshest ingredients available. Then, you'll prepare authentic achuras featuring grilled sausages before preparing a magnificent main course of grilled short ribs and outside skirt steak.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Latin American cuisine is what Chef Gustavo is all about. As the owner and executive chef of Rumba Cafe in Adams Morgan for 20 years, he understands this cuisine more than anything else. His inspiration comes from his own travels through Latin America, the Caribbean, France, Spain, and more. He studied at L’Academie de Cuisine, and is fluent in French fare, as well. He is available to teach classes in both English and Spanish.
