Learn how to make authentic Spanish seafood paella completely from scratch.

In this interactive cooking class, Chef Gustavo will teach you how to prepare three classic Spanish recipes centered around a gourmet seafood paella. As you cook, you'll also learn all about Spanish food culture.

Begin by making a refreshing gazpacho with fresh tomatoes, then prepare the entrée: Paella de mariscos studded with a variety of fresh seafood and spices. Chef Gustavo will teach you how to perfectly cook the rice so it stays fluffy and how to bring out the flavor of the seafood. End class with a rich crema catalana that's made in advance.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

We had a fantastic time with Chef Gustavo! We learned many new chopping/dicing tips and techniques in the gazpacho prep, the gazpacho was delicious and so light & fresh! After our first course we headed to Chef Gustavo’s back courtyard to learn more about the history of the traditional paella dish and take part in the cooking of the dish under the bistro lights. The end result was the best paella all of us had ever had - lots and lots of different seafood! We didn’t think we would have room for dessert but we couldn’t pass up such a perfect end to a perfect night. Thank you Chef Gustavo!

His inspiration comes from his own travels through Latin America, the Caribbean, France, Spain, and more. He studied at L’Academie de Cuisine, and is fluent in French fare, as well. He is available to teach classes in both English and Spanish.
