In this food preservation class, Chef Penny will teach you how to preserve the bounty of the Bay Area's fruits and vegetables using traditional pickling techniques, including brines and fermentation. From tomatillo-laden salsa verde to sweet pickled jalapeños, you'll learn a variety of mouth-puckeringly good treats. You truly can pickle that after taking Chef Penny's pickles and salsas class!
You'll have an opportunity to sample a wide selection of Chef Penny's preserves, and will create two recipes from scratch. You'll bring home two jars of pickles or salsas to show off to your friends and family, as well as the know-how to preserve your own seasonal bounty!
