Chef Mike will draw upon his incredible culinary experience to showcase fusion flavor in new and exciting ways.

In this class, you will be making American and Spanish fusion dishes by taking your favorite American dishes and giving them a Spanish twist that will be legendary. Discover how to take organic ingredients and flavors from both American and Spanish influences and add them into your dishes, such as pan-fried pork chops and a cherry crumble. Each gluten-free dish will certainly be aromatic with intense flavors. Do not miss this!

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Mike’s passion for cooking began at the age of nine when he helped his mother prepare and cook traditional Cuban food in their kitchen. A few years later, he would assist his father working in a family owned food truck selling churros and mariquitas. This all laid a solid foundation for his successful career in the culinary arts that includes titles such as head chef, baker, personal chef, cooking instructor, and more.

Booked the class All About Shrimp with Chef Mike in Houston (Mid-West)

Chef Mike showed us what Cuban hospitality is all about! He is a great instructor and an even better host. He showed us how to make incredibly flavorful dishes in an easy, no fuss way. He enjoys connecting with his guests and he is a natural teacher. I highly recommend his class! (p.s. Ask him to show you some of his Salsa dancing)

My culinary experience with Mike was a delicious journey, from the taste of every dish to the style with which he transfers his knowledge. I have always felt intimidated by the art of cooking but Mike did a great job in simplifying the steps for me. He taught me how enjoyable and simple cooking can be, and the amazing results it can give when one truly understands the flavors and how they fuse together. One of my favorite things about Mike is his extensive knowledge of all types of cuisines, and the attention to detail of every ingredient that goes into his dishes. Needless to say, the food is delicious and with an excellent presentation. I truly enjoy taking classes with Mike as I have seen the improvements in my cooking. If you are looking for a master in the kitchen, with diverse knowledge and a gift of teaching, Mike is the person for you.

Chef Mike had a very fun approach to the cooking class. Normally, cooking for me seems like a chore, but Mike was very personable, friendly, and easy going. His skills and original twists on old favorites made the overall experience very enjoyable, and the end product was delicious and unique. I had a big sense of gratification when we were done and felt like I learned things I can easily incorporate in the kitchen regularly. I would definitely take another class from Mike!

Everything I tried so far was spot on, from the creamy mashed potatoes, the oven roasted chicken, garlic sautéed broccoli, moist cornbread, his savory homemade pasta, and the delicious flan. Oh and the BREAD... It took me back to my home country. Mike has a talent for mixing the flavors the best way there is and also he is extremely mindful of getting the very best ingredients. The flavors he creates just play together perfectly to indulge the palate. He worries not only about achieving the best flavor but also nutrition value and health, which for me are very important. He is so enthusiastic with his cooking and all I can say is I look forward to more of his delicious food.
