Learn how to turn a handful of Southern-style recipes into a show-stopping meal.
In this hands-on class with Chef Mike, you will learn how to prepare a show-stopping three-course menu of Southern-style favorites with an added twist.
Chef Mike will begin by teaching you how to prepare perfect fried pickle chips that pack a punch and a crunch. Then, you will learn how to create a crab cake burger exploding with chunks of crab and paired with two Southern must-have sides: coleslaw and potato salad. For dessert, you will discover the secret to making an unbelievably most red velvet cake.
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Mike & his wife were awesome! Not only was our experience fun, the food was awesome! We had a little hiccup during the scheduling process due to some unforeseeable circumstances; however, Chef Mike was very flexible and accommodating a new date that not only fit our schedule but also was a date that didn’t make us wait long! Chef Mike was funny, generous, and personable. We can’t wait to recreate our meal because it was so delicious! We highly recommend Chef Mike for a great time, a memorable experience, and super delicious food!

I thoroughly enjoyed my time learning from Chef Mike! Not only is Mike passionate about food, but he is also a wonderful storyteller and I loved hearing about what inspires him to cook for his family and community. He was very thorough when describing cooking techniques, and the final product was absolutely delicious! As an Atlanta local, I was very impressed by Mike's spin on the classic chicken and waffles dish. Thank you for opening your home and sharing conversation, inspiration, and your wonderful food with us!

Chef Mike began his culinary career in 1985 learning the fundamentals of cooking and recipe development from a respected chef in a 4-star restaurant kitchen. After over 30 years of hard work and honing his culinary skills and style, Chef Mike became the owner and operator of a specialty deli serving up some of best Southern-style scratch cooking and a specialty desserts described as, "heaven on a plate."
