In this hands-on class, Chef Gustavo draws upon his vast expertise with Latin cuisine to bring you an unforgettable culinary experience bursting with an electric mix of flavors and fresh, artisanal ingredients.

Chef Gustavo will provide you with everything you need to prepare in his incredible three-course Latin fusion menu, including both the tips, techniques and the exotic ingredients that are foundational to Latin cooking. From a punchy, refreshing Cuban-style ceviche all the way to a dessert of artisan churros, this class promises to be nothing short of spectacular.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

The South American Flavors class was amazing! Chef Gustavo is an incredibly knowledgeable, fun and approachable person and an extremely gifted chef. My partner and I were a little nervous beforehand as this was our first time doing a cooking class together and it was just the two of us, but Chef Gustavo is so easygoing and quickly made us feel welcomed and comfortable. All of the food was absolutely delicious, and we both learned so much. There is nothing we would change about our experience.

Latin American cuisine is what Chef Gustavo is all about. As the owner and executive chef of Rumba Café in Adams Morgan for 20 years, he understands this cuisine more than anything else. He draws his inspiration from his own travels through Latin America, the Caribbean, France, Spain and more. He studied at L’ Academie de Cuisine and is knowledgeable in French cuisine as well. He is available to teach classes in both English and Spanish.
