Gather your group for a delicious deep-dive into Persian cuisine with this hands-on team building activity. Guided by an expert chef, your team will bond over a four-course feast, including a roasted eggplant dip, Persian stew, basmati rice and pistachio ice cream.

Begin by charring eggplant to create a smoky, velvety dip. Then, learn braising techniques as you simmer an aromatic Persian stew and layer it together with warm spices. Master fluffy basmati rice with golden tahdig, the crispy, saffron-infused crust. Finally, churn a refreshing pistachio ice cream delicately scented with saffron. This culinary experience bonds colleagues over five-star cuisine.

Chef Sayeh is a dedicated and passionate educator and international chef. As an expert in global cuisine, Chef Sayeh uses their experience as a winner of Chopped Masters on The Food Network and “Beat Bobby Flay,” in competition-style team-building classes. When they’re not teaching hands-on cooking classes, Chef Sayeh is getting ready to host an upcoming Netflix cooking show.

Chef Sayeh was fun, engaging, and talented at managing our large group. Food was delicious. Only feedback for future events is to better clarify the location ahead of time. Several of our guests searched "DC Cooking School" in their ride share app or maps, and it took them to a different location than the correct address. The door to the school was also challenging to find, so better signage / way-finding would be helpful.
