In this Japanese vegan cooking class, Chef Leo will teach you a variety of popular dishes that are healthy, hearty, and delicious. Starting with miso dengaku tofu and eggplant, you'll learn to prepare a miso-rich dengaku sauce which coats and caramelizes the tofu and eggplant -- vegans and carnivores alike will be satisfied by the umami-rich dish. Next you'll make a spinach ohitashi, a seasoned boiled spinach dish that is very traditional for warm weather. Finally, you'll prepare the perennial favorite vegetable tempura with a side of soba.
Guests are welcome to bring their own beverage.
