Chef Karen taught us to make a Greek meal and we had a wonderful time! She was fun, kind, taught us tricks in the kitchen and thought of everything from bringing gloves so we could mix ingredients with our hands to edible flowers to decorate plates. Everything tasted delicious, too!

Karen was amazing, my wife and I had a terrific time learning all the tips and tricks cooking some impressive greek food. You can learn so much cooking alongside Karen, she's knowledgeable, prepared, and above all she made it fun! The chicken was seasoned to PERFECTION and the dessert was AMAZING. Would 100% cook with Karen again, we highly recommend her!!

This was a wonderfully fun day cooking with Chef Karen. We made fancy deviled eggs, a tart tatin, tiramisu, and cannoli. My husband was quite happy to come home to an array of delicious foods!

We learned to cook the Italian dinner (Fritto Misto, Bitter Green Salad, Pasta, Pasta Sauce, Tiramisu) and we would highly recommend it to others! Catalina was very welcoming into her home and she was very professional and personable at the same time. She was patient with our questions, explained things in layman's terms, shared helpful tips, and was patient with our questions even when she had already told us the same information (=my husband :/). The pasta sauce was our favorite but everything was very good. The only thing we would change up is what goes in the salad, but it was still good!

Chef Karen gave us an unforgettable, hands-on experience learning the art of making tamales. From whipping the masa to filling, folding, and carefully wrapping each one, she made the entire process approachable, meaningful, and so much fun. We loved every part of it — especially frying our own tortilla chips and making fresh guacamole from scratch! It was interactive, delicious, and surprisingly empowering to create everything ourselves. Chef Karen’s patience, warmth, and passion for sharing tradition truly shined. She didn’t just teach recipes — she shared culture, stories, and heart. The kitchen was filled with laughter, incredible aromas, and genuine connection. We were also celebrating a birthday, and when she sang a soulful birthday song to our friend Yvette, it was pure magic. Such a beautiful, personal touch that made the day even more special. We had a delightful evening cooking up a Spanish feast with Catalina. Our delicious meal included Seafood Paella, potato croquettes, arugula fennel and citrus salad, pan con tomate, and an almond torte. Catalina created a warm, welcoming environment. She did an excellent job informing us about the ingredients being used for the meal, and the proper handling of all of them. I really appreciated her patience answering my questions, and the lessons she provided on proper knife technique. It was a fun, informative evening topped off by a very delicious meal. I highly recommend Catalina and Cozymeal if you're interested in learning to cook new and interesting cuisine.

This was a great class. Chef Catalina explained things clearly and she also gave options for alternative ways to prepare the meal. We made the pasta from scratch - that was fun! The pasta sauce was simple yet so very tasty. The fried vegetables were crisp and airy dipped in a yummy aioli sauce we made. The arugula salad was lightly coated in the balsamic vinaigrette. Finally, the tiramisu was the best I have had. Everything was delicious. I will be taking more classes from Chef Catalina.

Chef Karen was absolutely spectacular. She accommodated our special request for the date of our cooking class and did wonderfully with me, my wife, and our two little kids (4 & 6 years old) -- she even planned a little surprise for my wife birthday!
