Join Chef Gilzel for an omakase-style dinner perfect for date night.

Omakase refers to the Japanese tradition of letting the chef choose your order. In this private chef experience, Chef Gilzel presents a specially crafted five-course menu featuring skillfully prepared sushi dishes. Begin with fresh salmon sashimi highlighting an intense umami sensation. Next, the chef showcases sushi techniques with a selection of cucumber wraps and nigiri each with unique sauces and toppings. Chef Gilzel rounds out the meal with a poke roll before serving an assortment of mochi ice cream for dessert.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to accompany the menu, and may request pairing recommendations from the chef upon booking.

Salmon Crudo Sashimi

With red onions, avocado, shiso, sesame seeds, spicy ponzu and truffle

Naruto Wrap and Creamy Ponzu

With cucumber, tuna, hamachi, salmon, soy paper, avocado and asparagus

Nigiri Selection

I had for the first time the opportunity to learn how to make sushi and chef Gilzel with all patience and delicacy taught me important techniques for beginners in how to prepare sophisticated sushi dishes. I already have 2 more classes with her and I can't wait for it, I highly recommend it, she is amazing ?!!

Chef Gilzel's class was amazing, 10/10 recommend! Chef Gilzel walked us through the whole process and was very patient with us. She would explain what would happen if we didn't follow the recipe and she would also demonstrate the proper techniques of doing something (making gyoza's, for example) before we tried on our own. We really enjoyed learning how to make the sauces for our meals because it's much better than buying them at the store. Learning how to make teriyaki sauce has been the coolest thing!! We also ate everything that we made, IT WAS DELICIOUS!!

Went here for my daughter’s 14tg birthday. Could not have asked for anything better! Chef Gilzel was amazing. An absolute wonderful experience! And the meal was out of this world as well!

Chef Gilzel was great, we took the beginners sushi class not knowing anything about making sushi, and Chef Gilzel was great with showing us how to make sushi and also helping us feel comfortable it was a lot of fun

Chef Gilzel was absolutely amazing! She took her time to not only explain how to make sushi, but the history or and different names for each specific roll. She was kind as she gave us direction and corrected our horrible knife skills! Highly recommend this class and this chef! Thank you Chef for making this experience so much fun!

Surprised my bf with this class for our anniversary. We know nothing about the process in making sushi but love to eat it. Chef Gilzel taught us so much and made us truly appreciate sushi and the process. It's definitely something we take for granted when we go order. We suck at kitchen and knife skills and chef g was patient and kind enough to teach us. She described the history and culture of sushi, which was awesome. Towards the end,when it came to enjoy the fruits of our labor, it was Freaking Delicious! I highly recommend this class. Chef Gilzel really knows her stuff and was able to answer every question I had that night, and I had a lot of them.

This was the best date night my husband and I have been on. After 7 years we are still trying new things and learning things together. Such a great experience. Chef Gilzel was real, down to earth and funny, and also very professional and taught us so many things throughout the class. I would definitely recommend and we plan to do her advanced class after we master the basics she taught us. Loved it!

Just an AWESOME experience! My wife got me a private lesson with Chef Gilzel as a birthday present because she knows how much I love experiential learning. When I arrived, Chef Gilzel had everything ready, with two stations set up side by side. Chef asked me what I wanted to get out of the class, and I told her that I was looking to learn how to cut fish for sushi and sashimi and that I was very interested in learning more about presentation skills. The chef's approach worked very well for me. She first explained things, what things were called, why things were done a certain way, then would proceed to demonstrate the skill, after which she would have me perform the skill and coach me until I was doing better. It was a blast learning about the various fish used for making sushi and learning how to look at a block of fish and decide what best way to use it with a minimal amount of waste. I even got to help fillet a whole fish, then the trimmings were used to make the most delicious stock I’d ever had. Once we were finished crafting all of the various sushi and sashimi dishes Chef proceeded to show me how to decorate and present the food in appealing and creative ways by the use of condiments, colors, position on the plate, etc. And, the best part, sampling the creations once we were all done. This class inspired me to do more sushi dinners at home. So, I would highly recommend taking this class if you’re looking to up your game and learn some new skills and techniques. Well worth the time!!!

This was awesome! My husband and I had been wanting to do one of these forever and we are so glad Chef Gilzel opened her home to us! All the ingredients were extremely fresh and the finished product looked like it came from a magazine.

So fun and informative! Lots of knowledge packed into a dynamo young Sushi chef. 2 1/2 hours of intense sushi making from knife work, to roll and nigiri, with in-depth, but easy to follow, step by step instructions and lots of hands on. She worked really well with my 12 year old grandson and guided his knife work extremely closely, safety always came first. A great first time cooking class for both of us! Highly recommended Gilzel!

Oh OK all the class was very enjoyable the only thing I would have liked was for the students to have more hands-on of the process of making the rolls And would have liked some written recipes or written down sources of where we could buy the raw materials to make our own sushi this was really a very beginners class and I would have liked more time with hands on making of the sushi rolls.
