Drawing inspiration from her grandmother’s ownership of a ramen shop in Japan, Chef Kaori has been trained in traditional Japanese soup and noodles. With a culinary education that took root early in her mother’s home, Chef Kaori’s cooking pedigree dates back two generations to her grandmother’s ramen shop in Fukushima, Japan. She brings her expertise to this hands-on class where you will get to explore the authentic ingredients and techniques of Japanese cuisine.
Discover the art of creating vegan gyoza dumplings — and learning the proper techniques to fold, pleat and cook each one. Also, learn how to make homemade vegan ramen noodles and an irresistable soy miso ramen broth, complete with assorted toppings.

After paying for my partner and I to attend this cooking class in a professional kitchen with a professional chef, we were informed shortly before the class that the kitchen location had changed; not thinking much of it we headed to the address of the kitchen on the date of our class. We were both extremely uncomfortable when we pulled up to a residential home and immediately decided against attending. Not only is this completely unprofessional, but very disappointing as we paid over $100 for a nice evening in a real professional kitchen. We were not informed that we would be changing at the last minute and going to someone’s home we do not know. We would like a full refund because this is unacceptable.

Chef Karoi was a wonderful teacher at tonight's ramen class! We learned all about how to make the noodles and the process she went through to create the broth. Between the ramen and gyoza, we were stuffed by the end. We will definitely be taking what we learned and recreating the process at home in the future. So if you are interested in what it takes to make flavorful broth and delicious noodles, definitely check out this class. You won't be disappointed.
