Creating meat free meals does not have to be a difficult process. We know that meat offers us protein and other important vitamins and minerals, but guess what, so do many other foods! Chef Frances and Chef Sasha are ready and willing to share their meat free knowledge with you in this unique culinary class.

Learn how to take certain ingredients, such as lentils and chickpeas, and use them instead of meat to create incredible, healthy dishes. Discover how to add in bursts of flavor to your new, high protein, meat free meals.

Fantastic! I’ve made pies before and I learnt some cool new things. We were also given a fantastic lunch. Totally made the roommates jealous with our tasty pies.

Meet your chef

Chef Frances started her culinary career as the chef at Lalimes restaurant in Berkeley and also enjoyed teaching and cooking at Chateau Routas in Provence. More recently, she taught the professional culinary program at the renowned Tante Marie's Cooking School in San Francisco for over 10 years. Chef Sasha met Chef Frances at Tante Marie's, where she led the professional pastry course after years of working at Bay Area restaurants and bakeries such as Bay Wolf, Garibaldi’s and Café Rouge.
