Cooking Class - New American Seafood

Our experience with Chef Robin was excellent! She showed up at our apartment with all ingredients and supplies and we didn't even need to clean up afterwards. Chef was knowledgeable and we had a real hands on experience and learned a lot of recipe secrets and knife skills too. The menu Chef created was perfect for spring and everything was so delicious. I'd highly recommend Chef Robin for your Cozymeal experience!

Our night with Robin was very enjoyable. She was flexible to our context - little cooking knowledge and a screaming 1 year old. We learned a lot and made yummy food. I only wish there were more leftovers but we ate them all.

Chef Robin was nothing short of amazing! Beyond the wonderful food she demonstrated and prepared with my wife and I for Valentine’s Day, the conversation was fantastic. We traded funny story stories while we learned and she could not have made us feel more comfortable. We made a barrage of french cuisine including fresh baguettes, beef stew and chocolate fondue for desert. The food was exquisite and the company was A+. We will be having robin to cook for us and friends in the near future!

Fun Idea for a Get Together with Friends – I recently was looking for something fun to do with a group of my girlfriends. I ended up booking Chef Robin for a cooking class at my home. We got to pick the menu, from appetizer to dessert and she came to my house fully prepared. She even brought us a bottle of wine! All we had to do was sit down, sip our wine and enjoy an awesome cooking demonstration. AND we got to eat everything she made which was absolutely delicious! She also printed out all the recipes for everyone to take home. Chef Robin is very professional but also so much fun. She has a lot of energy and is very knowledgeable. I keep trying to come up with another excuse to have her over again. I think it would be a great idea to do birthdays, showers, etc this way.

A joy to work with and smart food expert – Chef Robin brings exquisite dimension to everything she makes. Robin has taught a handful of classes in my kitchen to me and my friends -- from Indian cuisine to hand rolled pasta. She makes easy what I always thought would be complicated. She has also catered two birthday parties and a Superbowl for me, my family and friends. Everyone was impressed with her food selection, execution and presentation. And I will never cut an onion the wrong way again!

Yummy fun! – Me, my husband, and another couple took a cooking class with Chef Robin this past weekend. It was a "just for fun" thing......but it turned into so much more! I feel like I can totally have a dinner party and 'wow' my guests now! I can't wait to cook holiday dinners for my family! Chef Robin taught us so much in only about 4 hours! Not only did we learn how to make FANTASTIC tasting dishes but we learned all these little tips and tricks that make prep time faster! The dishes were all surprisingly quick and so, so tasty! We got to eat everything we made and she had the recipes printed out for us to take home. And we didn't have to do any dishes! :) The next day my husband and I made the baked brie we learned in class and it turned out great!

I have a slight advantage in that my son and Chef Robin's son are best friends. Whenever my son sleeps over at their house, he comes home and tells me about the great dinner he had. Since he's such a picky eater, I often have Chef Robin over to my house to teach me the dish. These are not complicated things, but she's such a natural teacher, I always learn something new. Like pounding out chicken breasts before sautéing them, so they cook in about 6 minutes are never tough. Or how to make quick and easy sauce from pan drippings. Or understanding the chemical reaction that takes place when you deglaze a pan. Or when to add seasoning to a dish, how to tell when it's "done," and the differences between various salts. I promise, you will have fun, you will eat very well, and you will learn!

We love Chef Robin. My husband and I were interested in taking cooking classes, but instead of a formal class at a store, we hired Chef Robin to teach us in our own kitchen. It was great because we were using our own knives, pots, stove, etc. -- not high end equipment. First, she gave us a quick knife skills tutorial and stressed hand position so we didn't cut off our thumbs. We cut the veggies for the three selected recipes. She explained little things like how to cut an onion so you don't cry, or what kind of seasonings to bring out flavor. Chef Robin's concept of making easy, flavorful recipes fits our lifestyle. We made Spaghetti Carbonara, Lamb Kefta Kabobs with Yogurt Sauce and Pulled Pork Tacos with a Roasted Jalapeno Sauce. We used a pressure cooker to cook the pork. While these recipes may not sound easy, she made them so, and each was different and delicious. Chef Robin's lively spirit made our experience fun, informative, and left us yearning for more. If you're thinking of a class or home party, we definitely recommend Chef Robin. You will be delighted.
