Cooking Class - Cuban Night

Explore and sample popular Cuban signature dishes with Chef Kira

Join Chef Kira on a culinary journey to Cuba and let her introduce you to a panoply of complex flavors, textures and tastes. In this hands-on cooking class, you'll learn how to prepare traditional Cuban specialties such as ropa vieja, a popular beef and vegetable stew.

Start by creating a classic Cuban shrimp creole and tostones, fried green plantains served with a tangy garlic dipping sauce. Next, craft savory ropa vieja served with Cuban-style rice, before trying your hand at creating a traditional dessert: fruity cream cheese pastries filled with mashed guava.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Kira is a great chef that is passionate about cooking ! My husband and I went to her class to do something fun and learn more about cooking . It was a great experience and the food was excellent. I would recommend stools at the prepping station so people can sit when waiting , because my back was hurting by the end of the night .

Chef Kira was raised by a family of cooks, farmers and nurturers. Memories of making hand pies in her grandmother's kitchen and farming in the yard with her grandfather have inspired her career in food. By cooking in kitchens across Europe and Morocco, she submerged herself in the art of food and learned the true value of flavor.
