Cooking Class - From Lisbon With Love

What You'll Do

Dive into the delicious world of Portuguese cuisine with this palate-pleasing culinary class.

With this delicious Portuguese cooking class you'll quickly learn that there's far more to the country's cuisine than pastel de nata! Piri Piri chicken, for example, pairs with a crispy potato croquette and refreshing fennel and orange salad, dropping cluster bombs of flavor with each and every mouthful. For dessert, since this is Portugal we're talking about, brûléed custard tarts are pretty much mandatory.

Tea, coffee and water will be provided. Guests are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

Meet your chef

In 2004, Chef Paula followed her passion for food at L’Academie de Cuisine, graduating at the top of her class in 2005. Beginning as a Sous Chef in the Executive Dining Room at the Washington Post, Chef Paula went on to spend a decade crafting regional recipes before advancing to Executive Chef. After a brief hiatus, her love for food drew her back to teaching, where she now shares her enthusiasm for cooking with each of her students.

Veggie meal with chef Patrick (not Paula). a great experience. only feedback is trying to use less plastic (small containers for ingredients and spoons for tasting).

This was a knife skills class so we did not cook anything. We learned to cut using a big knife.
