Cooking Class - Classic Pastry Skills

What You’ll Do

Expand your pastry prowess with timeless methods for making sweet and savory treats.

In this interactive cooking class, you’ll practice fundamental techniques while making a collection of internationally-inspired bakes. Starting with an Aussie favorite, the chef teaches the basics of making meringue for miniature pavlovas. Then, learn tips for working with dough as you form the pastry base of a savory quiche and practice shaping cheddar scones.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

This class is suitable for ages 14+ with an adult present. Children under 17 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Class price is per person.

Meet your chef


After pursuing culinary school and retiring from teaching, Chef Karen became a chef instructor in 2019. Promoted to Culinary Lead in 2020, she continued to excel, recently stepping into the role of Resident Chef. Working as a Chef Instructor has rekindled her passion for food and sharing culinary knowledge with every guest she meets.
