Cooking Class - 5-Day Foodie Fun Teens: Kitchen Creativity

Culinary skills and creativity in the kitchen.

Designed for ages 12 and older, this cooking series features advanced cooking and baking techniques perfect for the budding chef. These summer cooking classes are a wonderful way for teens to explore the fun and creativity of cooking. Teens will become confident in the kitchen while learning essential skills and food safety techniques. Guided by a gourmet chef instructor, they’ll explore challenging recipes while learning how to steam pork buns, roast vegetables, knead pasta dough and bake artisan bread.

Classes typically run for two to two and a half hours, unless specified otherwise. Group work is a key component; kids can expect to collaborate with four other students. The class involves standing, cooking and active participation throughout. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required and long hair should be securely tied back for safety. Please note that these are drop-off classes. Parents do not stay during the classes.

The class was interesting with good information. The 2 1/2 hr. class turned out to be 3 1/2 hours long. Standing in pretty much one spot on a ceramic tile floor, for 3 1/2 hrs. was a killer for both me and my granddaughters . Stools would be nice. I also paid for 3 people and I believe that I didn't receive enough goodies in our box. That was disappointing. I think that each person should receive their own bus of goodies. I do want to add that our chef was knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant .
