Cooking Class - Intermediate Sushi Techniques
Learn new techniques and tips for preparing and plating sushi in this hands-on intermediate sushi-making class. Chef Gilzel will teach you all about presentation and culinary skills needed to make five authentic Japanese recipes completely from scratch.
You'll begin by making donburi, a rice bowl dish filled with salmon, salmon roe, avocado and cucumber. Next, you'll prepare musubi, a ball of rice topped with soy sesame-glazed Spam, nori and eel sauce, and assorted nigiri and maki rolls with tuna and salmon. Finally, end class by baking ginger-infused Japanese bread pudding.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
