Learn how to creatively prepare creamy, nutty root vegetables with the guidance of Chef Parsati.

In this hands-on class, you'll discover how root vegetables can warm your soul as you master a four-course Indian menu with Chef Parsati as your guide.

Using high-quality ingredients and smart cooking techniques, you'll begin the class by slicing ube into cutlets prepared with peanuts, spices, ginger and garlic, then tackle vindaloo made with taro and tomatoes, and tadka dal featuring yams, herbs, coconut milk and tomatoes. End on a sweet note by bringing back ube to make halwa with dried fruit for dessert.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Parsati welcomed us into her kitchen and was a wonderful host. The first half of the time we spent cooking and quickly learned many tips and Indian cooking techniques, making a curry, rice dish, dessert, and small salad all at once. The second half of the time we got to enjoy the delicious food we made and talk about culture, food, our lives, and of course the best places to eat! Parsati is very flexible and can help cater the class to dietary restrictions or if you want to focus on something specific! It was a joy to take the class and learn what she has to offer.
