Join Chef Shan on a journey through the rich and inviting cuisine of Northern India.

When you hear the words "Indian cuisine" the dishes that most likely come to mind originate from the northern Indian region that includes Kashmir and Punjab. This hands-on class with Chef Shan includes some of the best-loved dishes from this region.

Begin by learning how to make classic biryani with chicken, tomatoes, ginger, garlic and spices served over basmati rice and accompanied by spiced potatoes and green beans with coconut. Top this with a soothing yogurt sauce, known as raita, to counteract the mouth-watering spice. Finish with kheer, a sweet cardamom-infused rice pudding.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Shan was great! She was very entertaining and taught different things in an easy, digestible fashion. The food was also amazing and I'll be saving her recipes!

I had such a wonderful time with Chef Shan. She taught us how to make the most delicious meal. My favorite part was learning about Basmati rice. She was so incredibly kind and funny, and made myself and all the other guests feel like part of her family. She was very thoughtful and made sure we knew "her life is an open-book", she told us wonderful stories about her culture and her food. I will absolutely do another Cozymeal one day because of this experience. 10/10!
