In this hands-on class with Chef Ivan, you will learn everything you need to know to make different types and sizes of maki sushi at home using time-honored Japanese methods and culinary techniques.
Some of the skills you can look forward to learning and honing in this maki sushi-making class include how to properly cook and season sushi rice, the knife skills needed to slice vegetables and fish for sushi, how to apply sushi rice to seaweed paper, rolling techniques, the easiest method for cutting sushi rolls, and more!

Who knew you could find sushi in Little Village, and that it was amazing! Chef Ivan has become a go-to for sushi that is infusing the latin flavors found in this neighborhood.
