Dive into this beginner sushi rolling class and become your own itamae in no time!

In this hands-on sushi-making class with Chef Alejandro, you will learn the everything you need to know to make some of the most popular types of sushi rolls at home.

You will begin this class by learning how to prepare kappamaki — a thin sushi roll with a single cucumber slice in the center. Then, you'll handcraft California rolls with capelin roe, and authentic Japanese salmon temaki cones. Chef Alejandro will also share tips and trade secrets for selecting the best ingredients and choosing the freshest fish for homemade sushi.

Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Alejandro rocks! Simply put, he held an incredible event in our home and showed just how passionate he is about his work. He invested a significant amount of time teaching us the start-to-finish skills and tools to make beautiful sushi rolls and hand-rolls. From just this one class, we successfully navigated the entire process again on our own a week later. Whether looking just for a fun event or to learn useful skills to recreate items on your own, Chef Alejandro is your guy.

Our experience with Alejandro was amazing. Every dish was delicious and he did a fantastic job explaining each course. He left our kitchen the way it looked when he arrived. He was also very friendly - my husband and i enjoyed his company very much. We will definitely be reaching out to him again in the future.

Fascinated by this multidisciplinary craft, he went on to study sushi making in three more countries before settling in the U.S. Today, Chef Alejandro can be found teaching sushi-making classes and hosting private events.
