Chef Gilley will teach you what ingredients to stock in your pantry for Asian sauces.
Signature sauces are an important part of Asian cuisine. Soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and chilis are some of the ingredients you need to make some of the most popular sauces used in Asian cooking.
Begin with honey-miso ginger dressing, which can be used for tossed green salad or as a marinade for chicken or fish. Next, travel to Beijing for the fried noodle sauce that is available everywhere, from street vendors to fancy hotels, and finish up with black bean sauce for barbecue.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.
