In this hands-on class with Chef Derek, you'll learn all the tips and techniques you need to prepare four vegetarian dishes completely from scratch.
Begin the class with a curried peanut stew topped with fresh cilantro for added zing. Then, you will learn how to make pasta using carrots as your noodles mixed with puréed blistered tomatoes and basil, and pan fry polenta to perfection with the umami flavors of mushrooms. For dessert, you'll craft a fruit salsa to sit atop an eggless vanilla cake.
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Derek is a knowledgable chef with good communications skills. Best at creating very interesting fusion dishes from a West African influence in a unassuming way, Chef Derek communicates well and throughout the process of cooking, offering insights into very interesting weeknight meal ideals. His Akara delivers such a strong but manageable spice delivered with a textured and substantive dipping sauce. This dish will be a party hit.
