In this hands-on class, you will be learning how to cook staples from all around the globe. It is an exciting opportunity to expand your palate and discover fresh, new ingredients and flavors that have inspiration from many different continents. Chef Derek will touch on the culture behind each plate as you prepare dishes with international flair, from crunchy ankara to classic empanadas to sweet, cinnamon-infused plantains, you will learn how to create each course just as they are made in their homeland!
Guests are welcome to bring wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Derek is a knowledgable chef with good communications skills. Best at creating very interesting fusion dishes from a West African influence in a unassuming way, Chef Derek communicates well and throughout the process of cooking, offering insights into very interesting weeknight meal ideals. His Akara delivers such a strong but manageable spice delivered with a textured and substantive dipping sauce. This dish will be a party hit.
