What You’ll Do

Celebrate the holiday season with a festive team building competition hosted by Chef Doug.

Learn the best techniques to expertly decorate a gingerbread house with Chef Doug, who will travel to your office for this on-site team building event.

After your group forms teams, Chef Doug will demonstrate the basics of decorating the un-assembled parts of the gingerbread house, and will guide you through piping and decorating with royal icing. Each team will learn how to create a magical holiday centerpiece, decorating and crafting with candies, cookies, chocolates, shimmering edible gold and silver confections. After a bit of practice, Chef Doug will start the clock and the teams will start creating.

At the halfway point, teams will take a break while their decorations set and dry while Chef Doug demonstrates making rich, hot chocolate from scratch. Once everyone has had a sampling of hot chocolate, they’ll return to their gingerbread houses for assembly and finishing touches.

Finally, a winning team will be chosen.

Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to enjoy during the class.

Your Menu

All necessary utensils will be provided by the chef. The venue is required to have access to sinks nearby, tables set-up to prep and garbage containers. Chefs are able to arrive a minimum of 30 minutes in advance.

Our experience with Chef Doug was fantastic! Not only was the food amazing, but he was wonderful company to have over for the evening and he left our kitchen cleaner than it was when he arrived. We can’t wait to try the recipes he left us again and can’t recommend him enough!

Chef Doug was amazing. The recipes were delicious and he was very hands on in the lesson. He was also extremely friendly, and made great conversation. He also brings everything you need for the lesson, and does a great job cleaning afterwards. 10/10 will definitely do another course! Thanks for a fantastic evening!

Doug was fantastic. He did a ton of prep to get our meal dialed in, and then taught us how to do the shopping for the special ingredients and prepare all the recipes while improving our skills. The food was amazing - a phenomenal meal - and it was great fun spending the day with Doug.

Chef Doug was just excellent. I could tell he really cared about my girlfriend and I learning and having an excellent evening. The food was delicious and I’d be happy to try cooking the main course sometime soon. Chef Doug is an all around good person who gave us a great experience. Would certainly recommend to others and I’m planning to schedule him for my mom’s birthday soon. Thanks!
