My dad and I had a great time taking this class with Yani! Yani gave great instructions, and we learned a lot. I most appreciated her personal trick for pairing seasonings and flavors, as well as hearing her story of becoming a chef. Would highly recommend and would happily take this class again!

The class never occured. The address that is given upon purchase is not the correct address to where the class is. I tried calling her on the interbox, no answer. I called her on the phone and she was very rude, even insulting me, asking if I knew the difference between North/South. Very unprofessional, would not recommend

My partner and I booked a cooking class with Chef Yani for a cute, fun date night early in our relationship, but the experience was deeply disappointing. From the start, the atmosphere felt hostile. We arrived three minutes early, and when we knocked, Chef Yani opened the door, told us, "Class doesn't start for three more minutes, it's 5:57," and shut the door on us. Once inside her lovely home, rather than welcoming us, she opened with: "This is a cooking class... After we are done, this is not a restaurant. You cannot stay. You need to leave once we are finished and you eat." Throughout the session, the environment felt incredibly unwelcoming and rushed. Instead of creating a beginner-friendly space, Chef Yani micro-managed and judged everything I did, making verbatim comments like: "That's not how you slice a pepper." "You clearly have no patience in the kitchen, do you?" "Give me the knife" (before snatching it away to chop peppers for me). When I paused to check measurement markings on a measuring cup to pour a cup of rice, she let out a visibly annoyed sigh and snapped, "I will do it for you." When I politely reminded her that I was a beginner just trying my best, her tone shifted slightly, but for the rest of the night, she completely ignored me making eye contact only with my partner and the other couple. During dessert, while we were chatting with the other couple, she began aggressively washing and packing away dishes in a clear, indirect signal for us to wrap up and leave. I remained polite, shook her hand at the end, and enjoyed meeting the other couple, but the overall experience left me stressed and ridiculed in front of my partner. I still recommend CozyMeal as a platform, their customer service handled my feedback well, but I strongly advise against booking with Chef Yani for a date night or beginner class.

My partner and I attended this class because we wanted to learn new ways to cook something simple and delicious. This was our first cooking class experience. At the beginning of the class, the atmosphere was tense. We arrived approximately four minutes early and had to knock on the door three times, only for the chef to come out and say, “the class starts at six, wait out here,” and close the door rather forcefully at us. When we went into the apartment, we at times felt rushed and the chef was, at one point, seemingly frustrated with how my partner was cutting the produce and did not let him to do it himself. She also appeared to be frustrated when he tried to measure out a cup of rice. As the evening went on, the environment did become less tense with the chef becoming more welcoming and the food was very delicious and simple to make. Unfortunately, this made my partner and I both nervous to attend another cooking class after this was our first experience. We are also still waiting for the recipes to be sent to us.

How can I rate something that didn't happen. I booked this cooking class for myself, and my Collage bound daughter on a trip just before she leaves for Collage. I was given the option of them coming to me or going to them (I assumed that going to them was at a studio with other people doing classes). That was not specified. 3 days before the event I was told by the chef that it was another $150 for her to come to me, NOTHING was in the booking about that, or it should have been charged when I booked it. When I said that I would not pay extra then I was told the next day that I would have to go to her home which I told her I didn't feel comfortable with. At this time, I was already with the 48-hour window in order to be able to cancel with a refund. Called the company and got a call back stating it was to late for a refund and after that radio silence. I was supposed to hear from the Chef again and didn't. Hope they had a lovely dinner on my dime!

Sadly I was not able to join the cooking class. I did not receive the details about the venue address and when I tried to call nobody was answering from cozy meal hotline. May J ask if there any chance I can join another class for free?

Chef Yani is a Michelin-starred chef who adapts extremely well to her guests' wants and needs. She is well-versed in a wide variety of cuisines, enabling her to accommodate requests and dietary needs. As a well-travelled chef, she has been in contact with many cultures, which clearly shows in the menus she creates. If you are looking for a memorable experience, Chef Yani is your best bet!
