Chef Andy and his team were so amazing! We did the mystery basket cooking competition They made our corporate event for team-building super fun, engaging and exciting! It was such a fun event because of Cozy Meal’s amazing chefs! “Yes chef!” They were so good at organizing us and taking photos for us! And on top of all of that, the food tasted incredible! I organized this for my commercial team at Blommer Chocolate and everyone raved about it and loved the event so much! Use Chef Andy!! He will make, you, as an organizer of an event look so good!

Chef Andy and his team were phenomenal! Our corporate group of 34 participated in the Latin inspired tacos team building activity. We had multiple last minute requests due to dietary restrictions and allergies. Chef Andy was patient and invested quite a bit of time in making modifications. I was worried about making sure everyone had a similar experience despite any dietary restrictions and Chef handled it all perfectly. Our group had a long day before we even arrived but Chef Andy and his team brought so much positive energy that the team ended up also being reenergized. Chef was authentic, personable, and funny. Every person in our group stayed engaged the entire time. We received great feedback about the event from participants. The food was also excellent!

5 hours agoChef Andy was fantastic! My wife and I have done a few other cooking classes in more commercial settings, but this was much more enjoyable. We had a small class of about 5 people, so all of us were getting plenty of personal attention and tips, and I've already seen my knife handling skills increase considerably in the two days since we took the class. It's fun, a great environment, he played great music, and we actually learned a ton. We also ended up having a great meal! Everyone got along super well, so we ate our creations together and really bonded as a group. Chef Andy's recipes were amazing, and everyone was raving about their own dishes. The portions were huge, so I actually had enough left over to make a tasty breakfast out of it as well. We did a vegan cooking class that night. I'm not one, but my wife is vegetarian. He taught us a ton about nutrition and the benefits of plant based diets, but was in no way preachy or judgemental to those of us who weren't practicing vegans/vegetarians. He created a welcoming, warm, and fun environment for us all to learn and play in. I can't thank him and his assitant enough for their hospitality. And I haven't even mentioned how accomodating he was, as we had to reschedule TWICE after we had a whole lot of life hit us and make it so we couldn't keep our first appointments. He was just like, "No big, that happens. Here's my next few availabilities." If we take more Cozymeal classes in the future, I'm checking out Chef Andy's page first. He seems to have a great head on his shoulders, and I have a feeling he'll be a big shot chef in the not so distant future. You should definitely sign up for a class with him before he gets too big. Thanks again to you both, and good luck in future endeavors!

Chef Andy taught an awesome cooking class, it was a great mix of fun, educational, and super tasty. Each of the tapas tasted awesome -- the risotto was the star of the meal for me, and my fiance was obsessed with the salad. Along with the recipes, Chef Andy also taught kitchen skills like knife work and building intuitions about taste as we're cooking. I would totally recommend this class to anyone who considers themselves a foody.

I’ve taken other cooking classes before, and this has been by far my favorite. Andy made the experience fun and easy to understand. We learned so much about flavor, helpful tips in the kitchen, and most importantly - how it can be easy to make handmade pasta. Booked the "Kids Colorful Italian Creation" class for our family. The kids (ages 12, 10, 5) and my wife and I were all hands on and loved learning different cooking techniques. Chef Andy was great with making sure everyone was involved and having fun. Chef Andy was a great teacher and showed/shared his knowledge of food throughout the class. It was definitely a fun class to do and it was great seeing the kids enjoy tasting their delicious creations.

We had a fantastic time! Chef Andy was very down to earth and personable. I was very impressed with how he not only taught us how to make the specific recipes, but how to be an excellent chef. He began the class with teaching us knife skills, showing us different cutting techniques and allowing us to practice on the various vegetables we’d be using in the meal. He taught us how to smell and taste the difference between different herbs and spices, and was excellent at showing and teaching without just taking over and doing it himself. He was very attentive without being invasive, and it made for a very well-paced and entertaining evening! I would highly recommend Chef Andy. The Argentinian steak, vegetables and empanadas were top notch and his ingredients were high quality, and he even gave us recommendations on where to buy everything. We’re already considering what meal and when we might boom with him again!

Andy's class was awesome! My husband and I came from Oklahoma in search of help learning to make a great crust for our new pizzeria. Andy did just that. He explained the how's and why's of every step of the recipe. His apartment was squeaky clean. He was very welcoming and friendly. The neighborhood seemed very safe. We very much enjoyed his class, even my husband, who was skeptical. I would totally recommend Chef Andy and his pizza class to anyone and everyone!

Chef Andy was simply amazing, we can't recommend this enough! He walked us through making all of the basic pastas and showed us how to use the manual pasta machine (he also showed us the Kitchenaid attachment)! Chef Andy did a wonderful job as an instructor and his home kitchen and dining area were well designed for the class and tastefully decorated. He provided excellent information and demonstrations about knife skills, prep tips, food safety and cooking styles. His kitchen, the appliances, tools and utensils were spotless and in good shape. We plan to make the turmeric chicken and grilled veggies at home - didn't realize we can grill the veggies without oil using a non-stick pan; appreciated using a small amount of oil mixed into the raw chicken with the turmeric before grilling. I've been enjoying Greek yogurt with blueberries, strawberries, pistachios and honey at home - great as a breakfast item or a light dessert as Chef Andy suggested. Thanks to the chef for a fun time - we learned a lot and also enjoyed meeting the other two people who took part in the class.

Not only was the food delicious, but he gave us some wonderful tips and tricks on how to become better chefs with ease. What a wonderful experience!! Not only was Andy professional, fun, engaging and accommodating , but his culinary skills were outstanding! We chose the Chef's Surprise Gourmet Italian Fare as our "cuisine" and Andy did NOT disappoint! He maneuvered around our kitchen as if he'd been there before, provided an enticing explanation of each course, and with dessert, encouraged us to torch our own amazing creme brulee. We cannot recommend Andy highly enough!!

Highly recommend this fun and informative class! The Chef kept the class lively, comfortably walking us through the preparation while imparting fundamental skills along the way. I learned a lot and laughed a lot! We had a good group with 6 participants helped by two chefs. Food was yummy, and the BYOB meant good champagne for me! Class started and ended on time. I left feeling pleasantly full of both food and knowledge. I could make all these dishes again and feel confident.

For my bachelorette party in Chicago, my friends and I had the privilege of taking a class taught by Chef Andy. It was so fun! And we loved the food we cooked. We ran late arriving, but he totally rolled with it and had us whipping up some yummy pasta in no time at all. We loved Chef Andy's class! It was our first time making pasta, and he made it such a fun and enjoyable experience while teaching us a ton along the way. We made two different types of pasta and the result was a hearty and delicious dinner. Chef Andy's sushi making class exceeded expectations. I've only attempted to make sushi one other time early on in the pandemic to develop new hobbies/skills and failed. Knowing what I know now from Chef Andy (and Chef Emily), I'm ready to give it another shot! Chef taught us basic knife handling skills, tested our palates, and, of course, how to make a simply delicous maki roll. Early on in our class, it was evident to us that Chef Andy is really dedicated to his craft; which was nothing short of passionate and made the entire experience immersive and all the more enjoyable. Chef's apartment provided all of us with plenty of room and the atmosphere was most comforting. Thank you for teaching us what to look for when we order sushi at restaurants, how to tell what sushi grade fish is, and for recommending the types of knives to buy without breaking the bank. We certainly look forward to signing up for future classes to dive into other cuisines. Thank you for everything!

Such a great experience! Loved the sushi class, this was a great birthday gift. Chef Andy was very welcoming and attentive, he found the perfect balance between explaining/demonstrating and having us try cutting and rolling the sushi. I especially appreciated that Chef Andy was open to questions and was deeply knowledgeable on all the food related topics we were interested in. We each got to make our own roll and nigiri, as well as tried quite a bit of sashimi. Left with new information and new skills! The atmosphere is cozy and the group size of 4 was perfect.

This was a great Friday night activity that was a nice change up from the typical dinner and a drink. Chef Andy is a very personable and down to earth person. The class is meant to be interactive and once we and the others participated it was a great time. Andy is clearly knowledgable and experienced, making the class very useful. We learned not only about sushi and how to make the rolls themselves, but also some knife skills and suggestions of how to find the best fish in the city. The class is also BYOB which is a cool perk and saves you some dough. All in all, it was a fantastic time. My girl and I will definitely be booking a class with Chef Andy again and next time will book the whole class with friends. Highly recommend!

Very fun class. Anybody intimidated by trying to cook Chinese food at home should try this class. It's surprisingly simple but delicious and Chef Andy makes it a lot of fun to learn. It was a great date night for my partner and I! Highly recommend as the winter nights are cold and it's the perfect thing to do to get out of the house and still enjoy a home cooked meal.

Awesome experience with Chef Andy! We did the class as a Christmas present for 2 kids, ages 9 and 10. Chef Andy simultaneously engaged with 2 kids and 3 adults in a way where everyone learned new techniques and had fun together. In particular, Chef Andy taught us all knife skills tailored to each person's level. The kids also explored sushi and were able to create rolls they enjoyed based on their individual taste preferences. They also loved making the crepes and even had enough left for a special breakfast the next day. A very fun evening and would definitely do it again!

Wonderful! We had a fantastic time celebrating my birthday with Chef Andy, his beautiful Assistant (and spouse) Emily along with my adult kids and their significant other! Warm, welcoming environment in Chef Andy's home with delicious food preparation (and learned so much!) I purchased a Pasta Dough Principles class as a Christmas present for my husband. It was a class of 8 at Andy's place, which is kind of nerve-racking, but he and his partner were very kind and professional, as was the rest of the class. We took a moment to introduce ourselves, got right to cooking, and had some laughs. They directed us every step of the way. They were thorough and patient. Most importantly, the food was delicious. Chef Andy was fantastic and our group had a wonderful time experiencing the Pizza-making course. Chef Andy was very personable and funny. He made it easy for our professional, corporate team of 8 to let our walls down and enjoy ourselves. Chef Andy identified who had experience and who did not, and paired us accordingly. It was a great opportunity to not only learn culinary skills, but also to bond with our colleagues. The course had an array of nice ingredients. and Chef Andy walked us through the techniques and skills we would need to prepare the ingredients and make the pizza. Though a fun course, Chef Andy made safety a top priority as he taught us basic knife and culinary skills. Chef Andy's sous chef was also very well prepared and kind to our whole group. They made us feel comfortable to ask questions and have fun. The venue and demo kitchen were well equipped and suited for this course. Such a cute and wonderful experience! I really recommend this to anyone who wants to make delicious cooking accessible! Chef Andy is very kind, considerate, and funny. He's really good at welcoming guests to his home and providing a really warm and cozy experience. We had such a wonderful night full of jokes, good vibes and great food. Chef Andy was super attentive to our needs and made the experience of home cooking easy and comfortable. The venue was beautiful, the kitchen was well stocked and the dining area struck the perfect balance of romantic and cozy. We had an absolute BLAST with Chef Andy! He was fun, professional, and we learned so much. He started by bringing all necessary supplies and getting comfortable in our kitchen - there was zero judgment on what our kitchen looked like, what we normally cooked with, or anything like that. By using our home cookware and appliances, we learned all sorts of skills to make repeating this meal accessible in the future! Some highlights: - Andy taught us multiple ways to stretch dough - He taught us different types of crusts and flatbreads - He made everything seem affordable: told us where to find ingredients, was flexible with what types of flour and pans we used, and didn't push us to need "fancy" brands or specialty tools - If we made a mistake, he showed us how to fix it and improve - Everyone got to get their hands in! - We had leftovers for DAYS! Thanks again to Andy for being such a joy - and thanks to your sous chef for the spotless kitchen when you left! We've already recommended Andy to several family members and friends, and we hope to book another class soon.

Chef Andy (and his lovely assistant) did a wonderful job making this experience special! I purchased this experience for my boyfriend, who loves to cook and has been talking about wanting to learn more techniques and tricks. We both had an amazing time learning about the history of the dishes we were preparing as well as the "science" behind cooking. Chef Andy and his assistant provided all the necessary utensils/tools needed to prepare the meal, and cleaned the kitchen once we were done with the experience! BONUS: we had more than enough for leftovers. I couldn't recommend this experience enough, and we'll definitely be booking with Chef Andy in the future!

Chef Andy went above and beyond what I expected! He was so great prior to our event in answering all of my questions, and I felt so prepared going in to my first in person event of COVID. We had a team of about 21 people, and Chef Andy was attentive to every single person, and we loved every second! Andy and Emily are amazing! It was such a great experience, they're fun and make REALLY phenomenal food! Will definitely book again in the near future! Hands down one of the BEST meals I have ever had! Chef Andy & his soul Chef Emily were AMAZING! This experience was a birthday gift for my boyfriend and chef Andy did NOT dissapoint! I’m a vegetarian and my boyfriend is a meat eater, he was able to create a menu where all dietary needs were met and I cannot even explain HOW GOOD IT WAS. His mole sauce is out of this world along with his amazing hot chocolate and conchas. If you haven’t tried this yet, you need to! Thank you again Chef Andy!

Chef Andy was excellent! This was our first private cooking class, and my husband and I enjoyed it. Chef Andy was very knowledgeable and highly skilled. He taught us basics and advanced cooking skills, we had fun and the Chinese food was delicious. We were able to repeat the recipes later that week and the food was very good. Chef Andy had the kindest and most helpful assistant too.

Chef Andy & his sous chef/fiancée were fantastic and exceeded all expectations we could’ve possibly had. My fiancée loved making her own pasta for the first time and I learned a ton from knife skills to making two different sauces. Chef Andy was well versed when it came to making a variety of different pastas as well as the history of these dishes and ingredients. We would 100% have them back and would highly recommend Chef Andy for any of your occasions.

I got this class for my parents for Christmas. They LOVED the class! They loved how it was ran, how Andy explained everything, how easy it was to follow along, etc. My mom hasn't left the house (aside from doctor's visits) since June 2020 and this actually made her get dressed and act like a normal member of society, and she was happy about it (when she's usually grouchy). All that to say, thank you, they loved it!

Andy's pizza class was fun and delicious! He taught us several tricks - especially with garlic - and we all ended up with great tasting pizzas in about an hour. What a wonderful experience! Today, my 12 yo son and I took Chef Andy's pizza class. This is exactly what we needed. What a great way to spend time with my kiddo (during quarantine), drag him away from his video games, and do something that we could learn together. Chef Andy was engaging, and made us feel very comfortable -- my kiddo was nervous to do this online, but quickly got comfortable and jumped right in to practice his knife skills. I'm now looking to see what else we can take. Could be great fun with the grandparents too!! Thanks so much, Chef!

He was nice, friendly and informative. I would have preferred to have gone over hand stretching out the pizza thinner to get the window pane effect on the dough, but on writing this I'm realizing that would have probably led to a lot of students ending up patching holes in their dough, and as it was everyone had a successful pizza. I think the level of techniques he was showing was appropriate for the mixed group of students. We had a great time, and he was accommodating to all the variations people were making (gluten free, couldn't source yeast, store bought dough etc)

Wow, Andy was amazing! If we could give him 6 stars or more, we would. Andy coordinated the perfect at-home anniversary dinner for my boyfriend and I (Mexican themed!). We made tortillas, tacos, elote, and flan-- plus he accommodated to our allergies when the original menu had shrimp. Andy was kind, on time, fun, and very talented. BEST TEAM BUILDING EVENT EVER! ...and Chef Andy was the reason it exceeded expectations. If you are looking for a place to get together, have a cocktail/soda, talk and bond as a team, learn some laid back cooking technique, and have an event that the whole group is talking about afterwards, THIS SHOUD BE YOUR CHOICE! We had a group of 13 for a corporate team building event, at the Wicker Park Inn venue (which is also ADORABLE!), a quick 15 min Uber from downtown. Our team did the Spanish Paella menu, but honestly I am not sure the menu choice matters much, as the experience of being there and entertainment/conversation/personality Chef Andy provides makes the whole event. Easy platform for communication, Chef Andy is incredibly responsive, even tailored our menu to dietary needs. 110% recommended.

Chef Andy and Ryan exceeded all expectations! I took a group of clients that couldn't have been more pleased. We made pasta and salad and from the minute we walked in Chef Andy made everyone feel comfortable. I had booked 'Sushi Adventures' for our anniversary night with Chef Suarez in March 2019. Chef Suarez was communicative and arrived on time. He has a great sense of humor which made us very comfortable with him early on. He walked us through each step of the sushi making process and made it fun and simple. Needless to say that not only sushi turned out great but I also learned great techniques from him. I can never forget the great experience we had. I would recommend this to anyone reading this review.

Used Cozymeal & Chef Andy for my boyfriend's birthday dinner. I thought it would be a fun and unique experience - even more so than the usual cooking class with a bunch of other people. I can honestly say that it exceeded my expectations! We had an amazing time learning and cooking with Chef Andy. He taught us some simple tricks for presentation and knife skills as well as cleaning and using our cast iron skillet correctly. The price is comparable to going to an upscale restaurant, however the experience is one you definitely won't forget. I HIGHLY recommend this for a date night, special occasion, family get together, or girls night. My boyfriend told me this was one of the best birthday gifts he's ever received. I will definitely be using them again and I've already told all my friends about Cozymeal!

I had a wonderful experience with Chef Andy! I purchased the Pasta Dough Principals as a birthday gift for my boyfriend and it turned out be such an awesome experience! Chef Andy was prepared with everything we needed to make our delicious meal and taught us great skills that we (hopefully) won't forget! But, what my boyfriend and I loved most about cooking with Chef Andy were the conversations we had that made it seem like we weren't cooking with a chef we paid, but just cooking with a friend!

Our Pasta Dough Principles class with Chef Andy was wonderful! Chose this as a birthday surprise experience for my boyfriend and it was a very memorable night. Chef Andy and his girlfriend / assistant arrived right on time and were fun and informative. He was truly professional, and learning how to make pasta in our own kitchen with our own tools made us feel confident that we could do it on our own. Loved not only the recipes at hand but additional cooking tips as we went, and that they left our kitchen as clean as they found it. The food was INCREDIBLE. Recommending to friends!

We had a great experience with Chef Andy and his assistant. From the booking process to the actual class everything was very professional. Chef Andy arrived on time and ready to start with everything we needed to cook our meal . We loved actually being able to utilize our own kitchen and learn tips and tricks along the way to make our space the most efficient. Chef Andy was extremely knowledgable as well, he took the time to answer any questions and just made sure we were learning and having fun. I have taken quite a few cooking classes at different places around the city and have to say that this class was one of the best with lots of hands on and one on one attention. My husband enjoyed the class as well and we all shared quite a few laughs especially when Chef Andy called out my husband on using his favorite kitchen utensil ( a rice spatula --which he uses for cooking EVERYTHING). Thank you Chef Andy for helping me break that bad habit. HAHA!! Thank you also to your sweet assistant. We definitely will be looking forward to taking more classes with you.

Booked the Flatbread Galore class and learned a lot with Chef Andy. He was very accommodating and is a wealth of knowledge about cooking techniques and tips. Andy was exceptional!!! We asked him to develop an appetizer party for me and a few friends. He picked 4 appetizers and divided us in groups of 2. He demonstrated a demo on each appetizer and guided everyone through the whole process. I would highly recommend Andy for any cooking parties or cooking classes. We are definitely booking him from now on. Best experienced I have had. We learned a lot about other food as well. He was very knowledgeable about different types of food and techniques. I am going to take a pasta class with him for sure. He is well rounded In the food industry and a great chef instructor.

I took a cooking class when I lived in the United States in November. I am currently in Germany and still in contact with Chef Andy Suarez. I seriously LOVED his class. He was very professional. His nice personality made it easy for us to follow his instructions. Me and my few friends had a lot of fun learning new methods and dishes. Aside from his professional attitude. Andy made every single one feel special and like a real chef. I will definitely take another cooking class soon! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!

Andy was an amazing instructor. Not only was he super attentive, he was also very patient. He explained to us in detail how flavors work when spices are blended with certain type of foods. If I have any questions about a recipe , Andy is there for me to help. Andy is amazing! I highly recommend any of his classes. He is trained in multiple cuisines and techniques.

Class went too fast, hard to follow. On top of that, chef was keep asking to present my work by calling out each name. I was still working on it, my hands were not clean to interact with laptop. Also, I have a small kitchen. Need to clean as I go, but there was no time for that. That atmosphere was very stressful.
