Booked the menu Rustic French Bistro with Chef Charles in Marin County (Belvedere)

We had a great time and can’t wait to book with Chef Charles again. Charles’s approach was very informative. We learned a lot about how to sear meat and cook on high heat; for example holding the pan at an angle away from you as you place the meat. Chef Charles made everything so easy and the food was the best. He is also a very interesting person and loved his stories as a chef. Can’t wait to work together again!

I hired Charles last minute for an at-home birthday dinner for my husband. We were so pleased with the experience! The food was fantastic and he took the time to teach us a thing or two and to share his favorite Bay Area restaurants. We’d love to see him again, perhaps for a class with friends.

Food was a 10/10, great taste! Chef Charles was friendly and arrived on time. However, he did appear a bit sloppy. Wearing flip flops, a tee shirt, and a zip up hoodie, I was a bit nervous if we had the right person coming to cook us dinner. Overall, we liked the food, just a lack of professionalism.

Chef Charles was a wonderful host! He started with an insightful explanation for the meal's theme and the cultural nuances of Southern Italy. He was very accommodating in answering all our questions about the meal and cooking techniques that he used. It was a very immersive learning experience. Most of all, the food was amazing! It was a wonderful pairing of flavors and restaurant-quality meal from the comfort of our home. Highly recommend Chef Charles.
