Embark on a culinary journey to Valencia — the Spanish coastal city where paella is particularly revered.

During this private chef experience, Chef Gustavo will prepare for you an authentic three-course Spanish menu showcasing a colorful and carefully crafted paella Valenciana. Begin with a tapas course of crudo served with garnishes to artfully complement the fish’s natural flavor. Then, you will enjoy Chef Gustavo's traditional paella Valenciana studded with chicken, green beans, butter beans, and socarrat before ending the evening with chocolate truffles for dessert.

Great class with delicious food, and on top of that, you learn a lot about the history of each dish and how to prepare it. It's clear chef Gustavo loves teaching people about South American food and it shows.

Highly recommend this class! Chef Gustavo was a great teacher and we made some delicious food. Outside of learning the recipes, you learn a lot of general cooking tips too. We’ll definitely be taking more classes with Chef Gustavo!

Latin American cuisine is what Chef Gustavo is all about. As the owner and executive chef of Rumba Cafe in Adams Morgan for 20 years, he understands this cuisine more than anything else. His inspiration comes from his own travels through Latin America, the Caribbean, France, Spain, and more. He studied at L’Academie de Cuisine, and is fluent in French fare, as well. He is available to teach classes in both English and Spanish.
