She learned traditional French and European styles of cooking while in school, and is practiced in making the dishes native to her homeland as well as German, Italian, and East European fare. She cooked at several prominent hotels in Switzerland before moving to LA and enjoys mixing different cuisines from Europe with that of the rest of the world, but she still loves preparing real, traditional Swiss and German meals as well.

WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE
Journey to Switzerland for a taste of the country's most authentic dishes — including Switzerland's national dish.
In this culinary experience, Chef Cathy — who hails from Switzerland — will create for you an incredible and authentic three-course Swiss meal. Some of the dishes you can look forward to include Chef Cathy's velvety and bright carrot ginger soup, a crispy and flavor-packed Swiss potato pancake, and a homemade Swiss custard with apples for a classic dessert.
Guests are welcome to provide wine and beer to accompany the menu, and may request pairing recommendations from the chef upon booking.

I attended Chef Cathy's German cooking class and had a really good time. Being from Germany myself, I can say that I have high standards when it comes to German cuisine. Cathy has (from what I remember) over 30 years of experience as a Chef in German and Swiss cuisine and you notice it. The dishes were delicious and simple to make at home. Also, Cathy has a lot of knowledge of German/Swiss culture and her place is like a nice German/Swiss souvenir shop with a lot of items from that part of Europe. I can certainly recommend her for both social and team building cooking classes in Los Angeles.
